NewCore emerged in June with $66 million to treat AI agents as first-class identities with their own permissions, life cycle controls and revocation mechanisms, TechCrunch reported. The premise is that agents are becoming employees and should be managed in identity systems the way people are.
It is the same transformation problem that bigger rollouts expose: once thousands of agents are acting inside a company, identity and access management, not just model quality, determines what can go wrong.
