Verda, a Helsinki AI cloud company, raised a $189 million Series B that valued the six-year-old company above $1 billion, with total funding over $450 million, according to Crunchbase's September unicorn roundup.
Verda is one of the European players building AI compute outside the large U.S. clouds, a category that also includes Nscale in the U.K. and Mistral in France, and that Nvidia has been backing across the continent.
