Oxford-based Salience Labs raised a $125 million Series B led by Bullhound Capital, with Intel Capital and AMD Ventures participating, SiliconANGLE reported on October 14. It builds all-optical circuit switches for AI data centers and recently showed what it calls the world's first 64-port all-optical photonic switch at ECOC 2026, with 128-port and 256-port versions in development.
The money will go to volume manufacturing, geographic expansion and research. Its pitch is that electrical switching adds latency and power draw; a Cignal AI projection cited in the article puts the optical circuit switching market above $8 billion by the end of the decade. Performance claims are the company's own.
