At SAP Connect 2026, SAP said its Autonomous Enterprise architecture is generally available in October alongside Joule Work, a framework for bringing AI assistants into customer workflows across SAP and non-SAP applications, and Joule Desktop, an interface layer where customers do their work. SAP's Manoj Swaminathan said, "Joule is no longer a natural language chat client for us; it is a full-screen experience."
Joule will get updated agents for finance, supply chain, spend and other areas. In SAP's example, a total corporate spend question could draw on ERP, travel and expense, and procurement systems and return one combined answer. Agents can be viewed in SAP's Discovery Center. The report cites no customers or adoption figures.
