David Reger founded NEURA Robotics in 2019 in Metzingen, Germany, and is its CEO. His press biography says he spent time in Silicon Valley before returning to Europe in 2013 and built three robotics companies before starting NEURA. He is credited with coining the term "cognitive robotics."
He was named a 2026 finalist for EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year in Germany. NEURA announced a Series C of up to $1.4 billion in June 2026.
