Nvidia is in early talks to acquire Reflection AI or invest more in it, the Financial Times reported, as SiliconANGLE relayed on October 11. People familiar said an agreement could come within weeks. Options include a full purchase, a larger stake possibly alongside more chips and compute, or an acquihire in which Nvidia hires staff and licenses technology without taking control, a structure the FT said would likely avoid a lengthy regulatory review.
The FT cited precedents: Nvidia's roughly $20 billion Groq licensing deal in December and its agreement on September 3 to buy Hugging Face for $12.9 billion. The report relies on anonymous sources, and neither company has commented.
