Nous Research launched "Hermes for Businesses" on October 7, TechCrunch reported, a product that lets companies deploy customized AI agents that handle multi-step workflows while keeping their data private and secure. It builds on Hermes Agent, the company's open-source agent, which it estimates has been cloned more than 24 million times and drives roughly 2.5% of global AI token usage.
The launch came with a $90 million Series B at a $1.5 billion valuation. The Wall Street Journal reported Nous had about $36 million in annualized revenue by mid-September and expects to pass $100 million by the end of 2026. Those usage figures are the company's own estimates.
