Amazon's Bee unit announced two devices on October 15, TechCrunch reported. The Bee Frontier costs $74.99 and can be worn on the wrist or pinned to clothing, with IP67 water resistance and up to seven days of battery life. The Bee Eclipse costs $99.99 and attaches magnetically to the back of a phone; the Frontier is available now and the Eclipse follows.
The devices capture everyday conversations and produce summaries, to-do lists and calendar invites. Free use includes summaries with 14 days of memory, and Bee Pro costs $11.99 a month and adds Amazon.com and Alexa+ integrations. Amazon says raw audio is processed in real time and deleted, and transcripts are encrypted with keys the device controls.
