Manus Operates Independently Again, Raising More Than $500 Million After the Meta Deal Collapsed

Manus's parent, Butterfly Effect, said on October 8 it raised more than $500 million in a round led by Boyu Capital and IDG Capital, with existing shareholders Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund participating. Manus did not disclose a valuation; Bloomberg reported it was set to double to $4 billion. The company is reportedly considering an IPO in Hong Kong, though no filing or timeline is confirmed.

Manus moved its headquarters to Singapore in 2025 under founder and CEO Xiao Hong, with offices in San Francisco and Tokyo. It makes agents and vibe-coding tools comparable to Cursor, Lovable and Replit, and says it will keep hiring in China and abroad.
