Google made Gemini 4 Argon broadly available on October 13, VentureBeat reported, through the paid Gemini API, Google AI Studio, its Antigravity agentic development environment and eligible Gemini Enterprise subscriptions. It also reached Pro and Ultra subscribers of the Gemini app. At its September 30 announcement, access was limited, with trusted cyber defenders getting it first through Google's Fairwind program.
Introductory API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input at a 95% discount. Google confirmed the reduced rate expires November 30; from December 1 the standard price doubles to $4 and $20.
The price step-up gives developers a clear incentive to benchmark and commit before the end of November, and a reason to watch whether competitors respond.
