Speaking in Paris after meeting President Emmanuel Macron, Jensen Huang said "Europe needs to get in the race" on AI, Fortune reported. He said Nvidia would unveil another $2 billion in European AI deals within a week, on top of the $8 billion committed over the past year.
He promotes open-source models as Europe's best route to catch up with the U.S., and Nvidia is a major backer of Mistral. Huang told Fortune that Nscale was a "zero" before Nvidia invested and helped it recruit its board.
