Anthropic’s Leaked IPO Prospectus Shows Steep Losses Next to Fast Growth

Reporting from Fortune and CNBC on September 29 describes a leaked Anthropic IPO prospectus. According to the figures reported, the company lost $42 billion last year on $4.6 billion in revenue. The filing reportedly devotes about 80 of its 261 pages to risk factors, including a warning that AI poses a "catastrophic or existential risk to humanity."

Anthropic filed confidentially for an IPO in June, after raising $65 billion in a Series H round at a $965 billion valuation. Reports say the company is aiming for a valuation above $2 trillion and that the listing could slip until after the U.S. midterm elections in November.
