Executive Interview: Huang on Success, Suffering and Seven-Day Weeks

Fortune reported on October 8 that Jensen Huang believes success requires suffering. At the Korea Society he said, "In order to do something incredible, you have to suffer," and "If it's a walk in the park, anybody could do it." At Stanford in 2024 he said, "People with very high expectations have very low resilience - and unfortunately, resilience matters in success."

He says he works seven days a week, including holidays, and on the Joe Rogan Experience referred to the "30 days from going out of business" feeling he has had for 33 years. "The sense of vulnerability, the sense of uncertainty, the sense of insecurity" stays with you, he said. Nvidia declined to comment.
