Accel Atoms and Google’s AI Futures Fund Pick Five Startups Out of More Than 4,000

Accel Atoms and Google's AI Futures Fund announced their AI cohort in March, selecting five startups from more than 4,000 applications: K-Dense, Dodge.ai, Persistence Labs, Zingroll and LevelPlane. Each selected company gets co-investment of up to $2 million, split equally between Accel and the Google AI Futures Fund.

TechCrunch noted the program was notable for choosing no "AI wrappers" in a field of thousands of pitches, a sign that investors are looking for products with defensible technology rather than thin layers over third-party models.
