LinkedIn's Economic Graph team published this analysis in January 2025, using platform-level hiring and skills data to show that AI-related job titles and skills have grown sharply since 2016, with adoption fastest in financial services and slowest in education. The report forecasts that 70 percent of the skills used in the average job will change by 2030.
Because it draws on LinkedIn's own labor-market data rather than survey responses, the report offers a somewhat different evidentiary basis than most AI workforce studies, tracking actual hiring and skill-listing behavior rather than self-reported executive sentiment.
