Brendan Foody co-founded Mercor in January 2023 alongside Adarsh Hiremath and Surya Midha, serving as CEO as the company pivoted from matching international engineers with startups toward supplying AI labs with vetted domain experts for model training. He was 22 when the company launched.
Foody and his co-founders became some of the world's youngest self-made billionaires in October 2025, after Mercor's $350 million Series C valued the company at $10 billion. He is also a Thiel Fellow at Thiel Capital.
