Nvidia Backs $105 Billion in Financing for an OpenAI Data Center in Ohio

Nvidia is backing up to $105 billion in financing for an OpenAI data center in Pike County, Ohio, CNBC reported on August 17. The credit will support an initial 4.25 gigawatts of computing capacity, with the option for an additional 3.75 gigawatts.

The structure, in which the chip supplier helps finance its customer's capacity, shows how capital is flowing in a circle among the largest AI players. CNBC noted some figures were earlier estimates that changed before the final deal.
