Ryan Roslansky, who led LinkedIn for six years, will leave Microsoft at the end of 2026, CNBC reported on October 1, after Satya Nadella announced the departure in a memo. Roslansky had also taken on added Office productivity responsibilities in 2025 and said he knew what leading the next phase would take: "being in Redmond full time, every day," while his family is in the Bay Area.
Fortune reported that chief communications officer Frank X. Shaw is also leaving. Microsoft named Dan Shapero LinkedIn CEO in April, and Roslansky kept an executive vice president title.
