Wiz is a cloud security platform providing agentless, full-stack visibility into cloud risk, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations. Founded in January 2020 by Assaf Rappaport, Yinon Costica, Roy Reznik, and Ami Luttwak - a team that had previously founded Adallom, acquired by Microsoft - Wiz grew into one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies in the industry's history.
Wiz's independence ended in March 2026: Google and parent company Alphabet completed a $32 billion acquisition of Wiz, and the company now operates as a Google Cloud business unit rather than a standalone company. As of this writing, Wiz continues operating under its own product brand within Google Cloud, with Assaf Rappaport continuing to lead the team.
