UiPath is an enterprise automation software company combining robotic process automation (RPA) with newer AI and agentic orchestration capabilities, founded in Bucharest, Romania in 2005 by Daniel Dines. Originally launched as "DeskOver" before rebranding to UiPath in 2015, the company grew into one of the largest independent RPA vendors before going public on the NYSE under the ticker PATH.

Dines returned to the CEO role directly in June 2024 after a period with Rob Enslin as CEO, continuing as Founder, Executive Chairman, and CEO. The company has since pushed its product line further into "agentic automation," including a newer AI coding-agent capability launched in 2026, reflecting the broader enterprise-automation industry's shift from rules-based RPA toward AI-driven orchestration.
