SambaNova Systems is an AI chip and full-stack AI infrastructure company focused on enterprise foundation-model deployment, founded in 2017 by Rodrigo Liang alongside Stanford professors Kunle Olukotun and Christopher Ré. The company builds its own Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit (RDU) chips as the hardware foundation for a platform aimed at running and fine-tuning large models on-premises or in the cloud.

SambaNova announced the first close of a $1 billion Series F at an $11 billion valuation in July 2026, led by General Atlantic, following a $350 million Series E just five months earlier in February 2026. Total funding to date is estimated at roughly $2.5 billion, reflecting sustained investor appetite for enterprise-focused AI infrastructure alternatives to the major cloud providers.
