PwC's Global AI Jobs Barometer analyzes more than a billion job postings across 27 countries, combining labor market, company financial, and occupational task data to track how AI is reshaping demand for skills and pay. The 2026 edition describes a “two-track” labor market emerging: roles where AI augments human judgment are growing faster and paying better than roles where AI simply makes existing tasks easier for less experienced workers to perform.
One of the report's more striking findings concerns entry-level hiring: roles with high AI exposure in the United States are now seven times more likely to require skills traditionally associated with senior employees, such as leadership and independent decision-making, even at the entry level - a pattern PwC calls the “seniorisation” of junior roles.
