Three Anthropic numbers circulate. TechCrunch reported on August 17 that annualized revenue surged to $65 billion. A leaked prospectus reportedly shows $4.6 billion in revenue and a $42 billion loss last year. A Series H priced the company at $965 billion.
They measure different things. A run rate annualizes a recent period, last year's revenue is a full prior year, and a valuation reflects expectations. A company growing very quickly can have a run rate far above its prior-year revenue. The $42 billion loss, if accurate, reflects heavy investment in compute and training.
Until a final prospectus is public, all of these remain reported or leaked figures. The useful question is how fast costs fall relative to revenue.
