Jesse Zhang co-founded Decagon in August 2023 alongside Ashwin Sreenivas, building an AI-native customer support platform after previously founding the social gaming clip-sharing app Lowkey, which was acquired by Niantic in 2021. Zhang studied at Harvard University and is also an active angel investor in more than 20 startups.
As CEO, Zhang has guided Decagon through a rapid funding trajectory culminating in a $4.5 billion valuation in January 2026, positioning the company's AI agents as capable of fully autonomous customer-support resolution across multiple channels rather than as a simpler chatbot layered on top of existing support systems.
