Figure AI is a humanoid robotics company building general-purpose robots for real-world physical tasks spanning warehouses, industrial settings, and eventually households. It was founded in 2022 by Brett Adcock, a serial entrepreneur who also founded electric aviation company Archer Aviation and recruiting platform Vettery.
Figure closed a Series C of more than $1 billion at a $39 billion valuation in September 2025, a roughly fifteen-fold step-up from its Series B valuation less than two years earlier. The company has also moved to build its robot AI models fully in-house, ending its earlier collaboration with OpenAI, and now powers its humanoid robots with its own Helix vision-language-action model.
